A feature on the culinary calendar of the Granite Belt, the Gamekeepers Dinner has heralded spring at Ballandean Estate with a feast of fine food and wine for over 30 years. Although the presentation of the meals is not as audacious as it was for the kings and queens of old, your tastebuds will be truly satisfied with the food.

Every year The Barrelroom’s highly acclaimed chefs create a mouth-watering menu featuring an array of game that will satisfy any carnivorous cravings! Each course is perfectly matched with a range of Ballandean Estate wines.

A feature of the night is the Museum Tasting where aged wines from the Puglisi family cellar are decanted and enjoyed by guests prior to the meal.  This is a great opportunity to regale stories of wines gone by — a true taste of history.

The Barrelroom is situated in the original Wine Shed (circa 1950) and graced by 150-year-old working barrels.  The combination of incredible food, the wines that are a true reflection of the Ballandean terroir and the ambience of the dining room create a special event that is not to be missed.
