Gamekeeper’s Dinner heralds spring at Ballandean Estate

Ballandean Estate’s annual Gamekeepers Dinner is set to herald spring on Saturday 5 October 2019 at the Barrelroom restaurant. This highlight on the Granite Belt’s culinary calendar has delivered a feast fit for royalty for over 30 years.

This year we are serving up a delectable five-course degustation featuring an array of game that will satisfy any carnivorous cravings! Each course is perfectly matched with a range of Ballandean Estate wines.

Our guests will settle in for a mouth-watering meal surrounded by the oaky gurgle of 150-year-old port barrels. Ballandean venison, delectable duck and even quail and rabbit could be making a special guest appearance.

We love to surprise our guests each year with a museum tasting from the Puglisi family cellar. Dad (father of Queensland wine Angelo Puglisi) loves to regale stories of wines gone by. It’s a true taste of history. Who knows what vintages may be decanted for the first time!

Last year was a sold-out intimate event with 60 guests, people just keep coming back for more. The combination of incredible food, the wines that are a true reflection of the Ballandean terroir and the ambience of the dining room create a special event that is not to be missed.”
